Azeka (style) Ribs

Kihei Azeka style ribs

Ingredients

20 Beef short ribs cut flaken style
2 C

Soy Sauce "Aloha Soy Sauce"

1.5 C water
1/2 C white Vinegar
1 T Sesame Oil
4 to 6" Ginger minced
4 to 6 Large Cloves Garlic minced
4 C Dark Brown Sugar

Preparation

Mix all ingredients (except ribs) well in bowl until sugar is dissolved.

Put ribs in zip lock bag and pour marinade over ribs and seal.

Marinate for 4 days in refrigerator, shaking and mixing 2 times a day.

Grill over medium heat. Ribs should be cooked medium with edges toasting. Don't cook them too fast or the sugar will burn. You want the sugar getting somenice toasty edges without the meat being too hammered.
